Matthaeus Du Puy: A Nobleman in Medieval France

Well met, traveler! My name is Matthaeus Du Puy, a minor member of the nobility in the Kingdom of Atlantia in the Society for Creative Anachronism, a medieval and renaissance fraternal society.

I first joined the SCA as a freshman at the College of William and Mary (then known as “Rencester” in the kingdom) in the fall of 2001. Since that time I have been fortunate to engage in a wide variety of pursuits, the most important of which (to me, anyway) is period music.

In 2023 I was taken in apprenticeship to Magistra Iselde de Narbonne, my neighbor a few hundred miles (and about a century) to the south-east. I currently serve as the Exchequer (treasurer) to the local chapter, the Shire of Roxbury Mill.

It is my hope that this humble website will serve to chronicle my interests, my adventures, and (if I am fortunate), my successes. Please join me!
