WWI Germans
A small selection of my WWI German miniatures. I wanted to capture the bleak, grimy feel of WWI and so as a result initially used a deliberately toned-down pallette. However, as I progressed, I decided to experiment with desaturating the colors myself, mostly by mixing all the normal colors (flesh, wood, green, etc.) with various shades of grey. I was not 100% satisfied with the result, but I think Iām about 90% of the way there. In any event the force is complete now. Perhaps I will add some more pictures as time allows.
These guys are late war, most suitable for the period 1917-1918, as evidenced by their helmets, puttees, anti-tank rifle, grenade bags, and captured Lewis Guns.
